How We Started Established in 2018 by founder Ilene Cohen Harrington, the Kona Aloha Singers was created to fill a unique niche in West Hawaii: a chorus dedicated entirely to Pop, Rock, and contemporary music.

Resilience & Growth After a successful debut season in 2019 and a necessary pause during the pandemic, the choir relaunched in 2022 with renewed energy.

Today, the organization continues to grow. In 2024, we proudly introduced our Youth Chorus under the direction of Erin Deskin. This expansion allows local students (Grades 1–8) to experience the same fun, high-energy musical focus as our adult ensemble.
